I have never heard a song that so clearly captured emotion. The sadness of the piano and the strings, coupled with the building roar of the ocean it creates such melancholy and longing. Yet it turns bittersweet at the end with such beautiful strength when the drums begin I am simply blown away. This is a deeply moving piece.

the drums in this song are a great addition

@PBandJeIIy Ah my mistake. Comes from the same root as poignard then. :)
-
@Schemilix Not quite, it derives from Old French, poindre, meaning to prick, just a little less than sharp.
-
wow. this is the first time I can remember I actually got a bit of tears in my eyes when listening to music
just beautifull
-
@MiyuAmane Actually poignant is from poignard, a sharp object. It means sharply melancholic specifically.

probably my favorite song by this guy, I love Ólafur Arnalds, he's a genius

This song is poignant (Emotional moving for those who do not know what poignant means)
This song...is by far gorgeous. This piece of music is different from the others that I have heard, and to be honest this would better than the other corrupt music that is played. This song just encourages me to want to learn how to play the song and perform like no other musician. So beautiful...
