We often think of creativity as an uncontrollable and accidental thing that seems to happen most when we least expect it. Todd Henry is a student practitioner of creativity. He has discovered that introducing structure into our lives can make these accidents happen more often.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

My favorite part is the "Die Empty" at the end. His book accidental creative is my playbook whenever starting a project.

oh and I'm pretty sure "genius" is the creation of new ideas and things to be existing, not simply knowledge of things that already exist, though those things that already exist are useful tools.

Einstein never(to my extremely basic knowledge) created an object-he spawned creative ideas and wrote down these ideas(that randomly popped into his mind) and these ideas were turned into objects, built by other people. That's just what I think though.

He's not watching the right people on YouTube. For instance, I don't think this is a waste of time.

I write a LOT of lyrics and every now and then i totally lose my motivation. I always think to myself, "how could my writing...change the world or.. how can it permeate through history." this guy has inspired me to never give up. awesome young chap he is.
