i love this video so much is the quoll a member of the squirrel family at all? and what kind of dog is bella? she is so beautiful is she part collie or have collie in her? but just all around great video!

They are a carnivors and scavengers and will eat just about anything that comes their way. I have sent you a link to a page that will tell you more.Can't put it here because youtube doesn't allow links to be posted.

Forgot to mention that Bella is a border Colie Kelpie cross, very inteligent and loves to run and hunt. She takes off in the mornings and can be gone for anything up to four hours chasing wildlife in the bush. We know where she is because we hear her barking. I've watched her on occasions chasing a wallaby and she will chase it until it stops but will not harm it. She just sits there barking until it takes off again and then the chase is on.The only thing I have seen her kill is a rat.

You've done such an amazing job with this video. You have some great insights. It's amazing that the spotted quolls frequent your property. I thought they were very rare indeed. Anyway - Great video and I hope you can get some more footage of the quolls. Already added this video to my favourites !!

Thanks Phil. We have these little blokes coming around the house quite often and they are quite fearless. Luckily our dog isn't what you would call a killer,rather a lover and the quoll comes around and steals her dry food now and then while she sits there and watches most of the time. These,devils ,echidnas,possums both ringtail and brushtail and wallabies are nightly visitors to our 3 acre garden so there's always plenty of wildlife around to observe both day and night

I saw one of these here, south of Perth... of course its different because it is a western spotted quoll... anyhow.... was a memorable occasion as they are pretty rare!

They are cheeky litle beggars. This little bloke has taken to hanging around the house now and teasing the dog by stealing her food when she's not looking. It's lucky the dog is very tolerant and doesn't really seem to mind that at all.

Why would you let your dog chase wildlife for hours? Don't you think they are under enough stress.. Too much pressure from dogs and cats already.

@zachnace2000 Quolls are actually related to tasmanian devils. They reside in the same family, Dasyiuridae. Spotted Quolls, also referred to as Tiger Quolls, Tiger Cat, Native Cat and more, are rare as of now and their population is still decreasing. If you would like to read more up on them, iucnredlist is a great website that explains a lot about them.
