Flash Powder Fun

Three Flash poweder bombs. all are uncontained.

the first is just a test bomb consisting of a spoonfull.

The second and third are both about 300 grams. Or enough to incinerate a dishwasher and a 55 gallon drum.

On the last bomb, was there any flammable fuel present?

because there was a nice flame ball. something you wouldnt get from a detonation of FP? only a huge white orb?

That is correct. it was a used hydraulic fluid barrel. The blast ignited all the leftover fluid on the sidewalls of the drum.

well we did do that 1.5 pounder. and sent an old cast iron gas stove into orbit. but i admit that the video stunk b/c it took so long to set up that it was too dark to get much effect on film. lol it's just a bright flash and nothing more.

I'll have to try again during the day :)

What bothers me here is the whole concept that sweet young people will injure or kill themselves out of one mistake, for example, someone in the comments mentioned the use of vaseline. This suggests experimentation which could, for example, lead a sweet young person to mix the wrong substances with a spontaneous ignition (I won't mention what mix will do it- MANY can). I can see a classic "knee jurk reaction" from government on the horrison in order to save sweet young people from themselves
