Last night I went to check out Kobe's "Luminare" festival 神戸ルミナリエ. It started in 1996 as a memorial to the 1995 Great Hanshin Earthquake. Lots of lights downtown in Sannomiya.

We stopped at a great little pub on the way there.

  • wow...great vid-

    enjoyed the light show!

    :)

  • Cool! Glad you liked it. Apparently the lights are based on an Italian form of lighting!

  • Whats a gaijin?

I think i heard that word used in the movie fast and the furious tokyo drift?

  • "Gaijin" is a term that means "away person" or basically foreigner. It's not the most polite term for foreigners, but the foreign community embraces it. The more formal and polite version is "gaikokujin."
