bermuda grass is basically fancy crabgrass promoted as a heat and drought tolerant turf. It should only be used for cow pastures and road sides, not as a lawn.
When you live at a home taking a long time to get rid of BG, so take your time. I had a brown yard for over a year, I don't give a damn what the neighbors think. I don't know why some do. At a new place to live I just recently I came across something worse, Nutsedge.
All this video shows is applying repeated treatments of Roundup & reseeding. Top killing Bermuda with Roundup may or may not work. If one plant is left growing underground where Roundup won't reach, it will come back. There is a product called Ornamec that works pretty well in tall fescue. It can only be applied in spring and fall to a fescue lawn. Bayer makes "Bermudagrass Control For Lawns" that can be used in summer, but it's not as good. Use Ornamec in spring + fall and Bayer in summer.
I've actually dug down 4 feet trying to get all the roots out. You leave 1 atom of the stuff and it comes right back. I think extremely high energy ionizing radiation is the only thing that will kill it.
I always say bermuda can make the nicest yard, or the crapiest one. There's nothing nicer than a closely mowed yard of Tifdwarf hybrid bermuda. There is nothing uglier than a fescue lawn overrun with arizona common bermuda. There are products on the market that can help control bermuda, just don't look at your local big box store.
The Ergonica Turbo Weed Twister is a perfect match for bermuda grass, crabgrass and other similar weeds. Your tool arsenal should include this tool. It will complement your line of services very well. Nice video!
