Upgrades to the booking system at the Houston County jail will speed the booking process, enhance accuracy of information, and make sharing inmate information with other law enforcement agencies easier, according to Houston County Sheriff Andy Hughes.
The system upgrade was provided without cost to Houston County taxpayers by DSI, the firm that currently provides the inmate phone system at the jail.
When a suspect is brought into the jail, that person will have a fingerprint scanned into the system. If that person has ever been booked at the jail before, all of the information will be brought up instantly, to include pictures and alerts such as a "hold" for another law enforcement agencies.
Excellent video! Great job DSI!
