Taking off from Netherthorpe in a Cessna 172, G-ROLY on Friday 26th November 2010 for a local flight to Carsington water then onto Barnsley and back to Netherthorpe. This Cessna 172 is a recent edition to Netherthorpe and has just been re-built following an incident in Scotland which was severe enough to crack the windshield. The aircraft used to carry the registration of G-BHIH.
Ed Herbert was pilot in command. Take off from runway 06 which has a right handed circuit at 800 feet on the Netherthorpe QFE, before leaving on the downwind leg heading south via the village of Clowne. This runway is slightly downhill. The Zaon PCAS MRX shown here in operaton on the glareshield.
