On July 21, NYC Mayor Mike Blooomberg announced a personal commitment of $50 million over four years to fuel a major effort to clean the air and accelerate the transition to cleaner, cost-effective energy sources.
Bloomberg's gift to the Sierra Club's Beyond Coal Campaign will advance the effort to effectively retire one-third of the nation's aging coal fleet by 2020. The grant reflects Mike Bloomberg's view that progress will come not from national governments and international bodies, but instead by driving action at the city and local level.
You too can help. Please join @MikeBloomberg @BeyondCoal and take the pledge at http://www.BeyondCoal.org
The new partnership between Bloomberg Philanthropies and the Sierra Club was announced from a barge floating in the Potomac River, with the GenOn coal-fired power plant as a backdrop, July 21, 2011.

Talk is cheap. This is talk. Help me get a lab test on what I have created, and there may become more solutions than problems. Go to You Tube, White Gasoline Vapor, read everything. To the best of my knowledge this is all true. I need access to a gas spectrum analyzer, for cheap. If I prove what I did to gasoline, then what I did to gasoline, I can do to any liquid. Water in your gas tank will be a reality, not a wish.

Do yall not have water treatment palnts in NY? The damn taxies, buses, and planes put way more polution into the atmosphere that burning coal.. Not to mention the jobs that coal mining provides for so many americans. You are just a dumb fucker lol. Have you looked into all the products that derive from coal? Maybe you should before you waste 50,000,000 on some stupid shit like this. P.S kiss my ass!!

Mr. Bloomberg if you are going to get on tv or you tube and talk about something you need to tell the truth and also have the facts. Fact is them planes are probley doing more harm to the air than that power plant is. The power companys along with steel companys and coke plants have spent billions of dollars on scrubbers to clean up the air releast from there stacks. There is know way you could prove this plant made someone sick. What about all the By-products that come from coal.Think about it

CO2 is the gas of life. it makes up .033 percent of dry air. It is what trees build wood out of , what plants build fiber out of , and what the eco system functions on. CO2 is not a poison, it is part of a natural system called the carbon cycle. What is a poison is synthetic chemicals, and radioactive chain reaction atomic aniolations that yield super natural poisons that have been causing birth defects and cancers. Coal is not the problem, atomic and genetic violence is the problem.

Wish the power companies would shut down all coal fired power plants for 2 days. These green weenies would be squealing for their air conditioning in no time.
