@helixjade If my unit goes down I just turn if off then back on to re-boot. You can try leaving it on untill the battery dies the plug it into your computer. If you can see the screen at all, try this: Turn on your TomTom. Go to the main screen, were you see the map as thou' you were driving, Then go to "change preferences", hit the arrow button until you see the icon "RESET FACTORY SETTINGS" hit that ican and you should be good to go. Let me know if this helps.
