  • She doesn't just play a hero on t.v....she IS one! Adore her!

  • Oh my. This actually made me cry slightly, and I don't cry easily, I consider myself pretty tough.

The eloquence and love with which she describes her mother's life is beautiful, and she really conveys the harshness of what happened to her mind after the Alzheimer's struck.

Congratulations, Kate Mulgrew, for being there for your Mum and then having the strength to talk about it so well. I am so often impressed by you, and I find myself even more so after watching this speech.

  • Kate is such an eloquet speaker, every time I watch a video from a convention or interview her words are so wonderful. She is one of the most real actresses that there has ever been and this heartbreaking tale just proves that. She is right when she speaks about generosity; if we all could give just a little we could change the world.

She is an inspiration both on television and in real life; she is truly incredible.

  • This is one of the best speeches i have ever heard. She has aged well, and lord, that voice of hers. She still has it!!!

  • Absolute best thing about Kate is her voice. I love that voice.

  • I don't have the words to say what this woman means to me. I love her.

  • Incredibly touching and heartfelt. Beautifully written, and eloquently spoken.

  • What a wonderful person you are Kate, just like your mother must have been

  • Wow...what a beautiful and honest speech. She really captures the dispair of seeing someone you love being taken over by this horrendous illness. I live only a street away from my grandmother who is "living" in an Alzheimer's care home, so I know it way too well :-( I hope (with all of my soul) that a cure will be found soon.

Thank you, Minnesota Medical Foundation, for sharing this video with all of us, and many thanks to all who do research or sponsor research to find a cure.

  • That was a breath of fresh air. She is the most amazing person in the whole entire world. She brings hope to so many people and She is a hero in real life. She Inspires, She perseveres in life, She gives hope where hope has not been in years. My God she is a wonderful person. A selfless person who gives so much to everyone. What an amazing speech. What an amazing person.
