I was sort of bummed out last week so I made this tribute. I was going to write a whole explanation about my opening with Swing Time, but I opted not to. I leave it to the viewer to decide why.

@FanofBewitched Both clips are from The Story of Vernon and Irene Castle. Everything in about the first 15 or so seconds is from Swing Time. Every thing after that is from the first movie I mentioned. :)

This is the best tribute I have seen of them~it was heartbreaking~everytime I see them, or Freddie, its another reason why I wanted to grow up in that time :*(, I wish I was in the winter of my life~looking back on fond memories~thank you for this~p.s. could you PLEASE tell me what this song is, & who sings it??Its SO familiar & beautiful!

@9esther09 Thank you! I agree, I would've loved to have been around in the 30s. It's called Heaven - DJ Sammy. It's been used on TV programs I think... so maybe that's where you heard it? But this song alone makes me sad, and it's very bittersweet so I thought it worked with the subject matter.

Great job!!This movie is so full of affection, compassion, and gentleness.There is such a deep emotional connection between Ginger and Fred in this movie.The last waltz means so much to Vernon and Irene, as well as, Fred and Ginger. It was their last hurrah and so final.Their last dance of pure love and enjoyment as the public intruded into their most intimate moment together.I am glad Fred and Ginger did dance again in one more movie.Love, caring, tenderness, elegance, and grace...Pure Magic.

This was so beautiful. It broke my heart. It really did. The Story of Vernon and Irene Castle is so sad. My eyes teared up the first time I saw it, and I know if I were to watch it today (if I could even make it all the way through) they'd tear up again.

Everytime I watch your tribute, I go to pieces, this is so perfect+marvelous! Its so heartbreaking, if I was Ging I would've NEVER let it end, or at least not tried to end it~I mean~she almost went steady w him in NY~b4 Hollywood. EVERYTIME I see their movies I long 2 be there! Ending the tribute w Vernon is SO right~the end of an era :{ I cant say it enough, THANK YOU for this lovely tribute!!
