1st snow of the season shows walker, Mazda 3 and Porsche Cayenne driving with care

update: Published: Wednesday, November 29, 2006

Yet another snowstorm is expected to hit Greater Vancouver this afternoon, adding icy complications to an already treacherous commute, and pushing the region's uncharacteristic and early winter into its fifth consecutive day.

Environment Canada forecaster John McIntyre predicted up to 15 centimetres of snow in the latter portion of today, beginning with light flurries this afternoon, and then growing into a larger storm later in the evening.

McIntyre said temperatures will remain cold as well, with wind chills expected to have dropped to -20 C in Vancouver and the Fraser Valley overnight Tuesday, and with predicted a high of 0 C today.
