Hey man nice setup, i recently did the c4 swap on my mustang using the same parts. I have the hammer shifter and cable like you have. I am curious if your shifter has some slop/play in it, Im having a problem come up where my shifter alot of times will click the ratchet mechanism in the shifter itself but it wont quite push the trans lever in the next gear, so my shifter gets all jacked up and i cant really drive it. I bought my shifter used so i am thinking something is loose or wore out.

it is a night and day differance best thing I have done to my car. picked up more than 1 sec in the 1/4.I love the manual shift. no boost drop or time waisted.
nice vid, but don't you need to change the harmonic balancer? i thought std. w/ flywheel was 50-something oz. imbalance and auto flexplate was 28 oz. inbalance? Or some numbers of the like..

very nice mustang man! your trans. set up is exactly what ive been wanting to put in my car.. PA super comp transmission with full manual valve body. how firm are the shifts with this trans. did it help with firmer 2nd to 3rd shifts? I really want this transmission but want it strip/street car... do you think it will be fine for a good bit of street use? an my bad for so many questions its just good to find somebody with the exact setup i want! sick stang man.

@cslinebacker thanks man C4 is the best move I've made love it shifts awesome and is very streetable.helped my et by 1 sec. Ford used it for around 18 years in hundreds of autos just be sure to use a trans cooler. get one

I did the same conversion on my mustang years ago, but found that I didn't need the block plate because it was actually not giving my starter a good mesh with the flexplate teeth, and also found a slight leak i attribute to the converter not sealing. Did you run into this? I've heard others say you don't need a block plate as well.
