An animation through the virtual world of Google Earth and its 3D models. The camera works its way through the Bitan, Taipei, Taiwan model. While still crude and experimental, these models demonstrate some of the current possibilities of Google Earth mapping. Virtual realities may still be primitive, but already they offer a new way of seeing.
I admire the efforts of the 3D modelers and the texture mappers (who are probably the same person) in these early forays into networked virtual reality. [Spoken as a true veteran of Second Life.]
Thanks to TC Lin for mentioning that Bitan was modeled.
