Chief of General Staff Lt.Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi declared that the army is ready and prepared for all scenarios whether in the north with the Syrians or in the south opposite the Palestinian terror groups.On Tuesday, a Syrian member of parliament, Mohammed Habash, a close confidante of Syrian President Basher Assad, declared that it is no secret that Syria is preparing for war. He noted however that it was a response to Israel who seeks to initiate a confrontation.06/06/07

@burnley5960 Burnley, man - Israel holds the key to peace..., it's neighbours will accept a realistic, long term compromise for peace, of course this means Israel will leave key points and areas of occupied territory(ALL from the 67-war + some others). Only crazy people believes Israel should seize to excist, they have at least some right to share the land with others whom for Jerusalem is an especially important place. Israel holds the key to peace, and we can all enjoy the fruits of that.
