Well, guess I'll do a hack that a lot of people are familiar with. Brutal Mario is probably well known for the boss battles, which are completely different battles. The bosses mostly consist of characters outside the Mario universe. This part covers all bosses from the World 1 castle to the World 3 fortress.
If I miss any bosses during this series (trying to remember the boss locations from memory, so I may have missed some on regular levels), please PM me the level number(s). Although I will do only boss battles, I do take level requests, though it's mainly the paths that lead to the Star Warps that I cannot find. With these videos, and some info here, you should know how to beat them with as little damage as possible.
1-Castle: The Mini-boss is easy, just push the Shy Guy into the pit behind it, watching for the Boo behind you. It's Lemmy that can be pretty tough, due to the hit detection. Jump on the head, and be careful of his orbs (6/09/09: I got tired of comments made about balls. It's the object, not the body part. Seesh). He jumps over you five times, trying to land on you. Five bumps to the head will do it.
2-House: Getting to Big Boo is harder than actually beating him. The only thing that you may need to watch out for is that Big Boo may be out of reach at the sides of the area, but you can just wait until he moves more into the center. Three blocks will do it.
2-Fortress: SMB3 fans, prepare to get some memories, as your old friend Boom Boom is back...and at his most difficult form. Hit him once, and he starts flying. Because there's an obstruction, he gets pretty difficult to locate. Manage to hit him again, and he goes crazy (and he surprised me). One more hit and he's done.
2-Castle: The mini-boss is super easy, just break a purple brick, then head for the other side of the room. The fake Mario should fall down in the gap you made. Now, Morton is actually pretty tough. You just have to survive his attacks, but you don't get much time to dodge, especially when it speeds up. The Bob-omb is the most difficult to avoid. Finally, jump before Morton lands when he jumps, cause he causes a quake.
3-Fortress: Now here are some new faces in the Mario universe. Majinki is from Chrono Trigger if I heard right, correct me if I'm wrong. This boss actually requires a little strategy. When he flashes blue, make sure you're above a block, as his water attack sends you to the bottom. When he flashes red, he sweeps the floor with a laser. And finally, get under him if he flashes green, as green blobs of energy rain down from above. Grab a block and hit right in the middle, above the location where the laser comes out. Four should do it. The other boss is Captain K. Rool, from the DKC series. This is the 2nd confrontation, and he holds back this time in Brutal Mario, unlike in DKC2. The best way to avoid the balls that go straight across the screen is to crouch and jump ONLY above the lowest balls. Use your best judgement on the hopping projectiles. To damage K. Rool, shoot the green shell he shoots back at him when he tries to suck you in. His other attack is to boost across the floor, jump JUST before contact. The Cape Feather makes this easier. After four clogs, he acts a little like a Magikoopa. After he reappears five times, he shoots a shell, then disappears again. Hold on to the shell, and fire back at him once he appears again. Clog once more and he's finished.
I have non-photosensitive epilepsy. Watched the whole video. yay

@DexterrsDad Some probably can't say the same, so it's just a heads up for those at risk.

READ BEFORE WATCHING! If you're epiliptic, do not watch! There's a big strobe light that can cause seizures!

@lanili100 That did not even occur to me. Thanks for the heads up. I shall warn people in the video about that.
