Starting up first thing in the morning. I've been told (mostly by people who drive gas cars) that it "knocks" but it's sounded like this ever since I've had it (for about 4 years now). Has always run/driven great, with no lack of power. Any thoughts as to whether this is abnormally loud, or is it just the way old diesel MBs sound?

  • Why is the speedometer turned on its side? And i think the tachometer might be a sensor.

  • What's with the speedometer? It seems to be on its side.

  • Yikes!!! Sounds like it has a main bearing knock. Diesel yes, but awfully loud. =O

  • I've never owned a Mercedes-Benz Diesel car, or any diesel for that matter. But I've always loved diesel engines. I love the sound they make, I love the horsepower and torque, I have always admired the relative durability vs. gasoline engines.

  • aha nice...i have the same car...good video
