@slitheen BETCH! Led lenser or fenix might be stronger but nothing beats maglite's strength and durability! Even if maglite solitaire's light is not as bright as other LED'S it will still last a lifetime! Those leds will probably last not more than 5 years but MAGLITE solitaire can last a lot longer even when beaten up daily on your keychain.

I have the same light on my keychain. its been there for about 10 years now good light. I'd like to get my dad one for x-mas can anyone tell me where I can find them. Mine was given to me

I used the LED upgrade from eBay, much brighter than stock bulb. But flashlight will not close all the way, not waterproof anymore, no big deal though. The aftermarket LED was supposed to last 100,000 hours--- it lasted only 2 years. (Maybe 300 hours use) Been dropped lots so who knows why it failed

Even if my little Solitaire runs out of juuice, there's a spare bulb in the butt of the flashlight so you'll probably have bought another flashlight by the time both bulbs hit craps
