That's World Class you're thinking of.
In the AWA you couldn't lose the belts by countout or DQ. That's what makes this finish so inexplicable.
(The real reason is that Scott Hall refused to do the job, but Verne wanted to keep Curt strong because they already planned on putting the big belt on Curt. So neither one could do the job--- hence the lame countout ending. Blame Scott Hall for this one.)

Oh wait, that's just me wanting to see Larry Nelson get the crap knocked out of him.
