The narrator is Bing Crosby.  I think he is going for a sleepy rustic kind droll. I love the way he narrates it. I watched this numberous times when I was younger and found myself in later life narrating my own life with Bing Crosbys voice. All in my head of course. Kind of odd I must admit though soothing.

@83ajhoover You know, you're right about Bing Crosby. He does have that kind of voice. The best thing about it is that sometimes, when you immediately hear it, it gives you an idea that maybe one day, he'll narrate everyone else's life story.
