My hedgehog Quentin. He's not fond of his inability to reach the other side of the tube.

As a side note on my pet posts, I often get comments about how much people "want one." I encourage you to read up on the proper care and treatment of all of these critters that you want. A pet is not a fashion accessory, collectible, or spur-of-the-moment item, it is a living thing and needs proper care, housing, nutrition, and most importantly attention. It also has hidden costs such as vet bills and food expenses. It is a big responsibility not to be taken lightly.

As a plea for animal welfare I give you this:
If you love hedgehogsand want one, I encourage you to adopt on from a private breeder or rescue one if you can from a shelter or rescue RATHER THAN a pet store. Pet stores support and buy their animals from mass breeders; people who mistreat, abuse, and neglect animals and are only in it for the profit. No respectable breeder would ever sell their animal to a pet store.

i dont like having pets because you grow so attached for them to pass away its sad to think about and you might have a great time with them but is it worth saying goodbye ?
