^this. the indie labels that fueled great music in the past have all been bought out by majors, themselves owned by multimedia corporations, and placed under MBAs after the actual music enthusiasts who founded them retired or died, leading to a mercenary, business mentality in place of the old artistic focus.

@meyerske There are big money players involved in the music industry so its not entirely your fault. My generation was inspired by artists like The Clash, The Ramones, Patti Smith etc who inspired us to grab a mike and guitar and just have a go. It didn't matter if it sounded shit - we just had a great time.
