Foundation of Apostles and Prophets - How Many Times? ONE

"And the wall of the city had twelve foundation stones, and on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb." (Revelation 21:14). Another pertinent New Testament passage is 1Corinthians 3:11, For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. So the question is, if Christ is the foundation, how can it be that in Ephesians 2 the apostles and prophets are? The answer lies in the cornerstone analogy, which likely is an allusion to Isaiah 28:16. Here, Christ is the corner stone and His apostles and prophets are the first stones laid that will constitute the foundation. This allusion shows that Paul means apostles and prophets as the foundation,

Is it biblical to have prophets and apostles like the LDS church has today? The Bible says that apostles where 1. hand witnesses. Prophets could be anybody who is a christian - even women! Read your bibles! The LDS church always adds a little twist to the saying "apostles and prophets" - they say "prophets and apostles", they switch it

There were also other apostles who came up later after Paul along with barnabus apollos and 2 or 3 others who had neither seem Christ physically or in a vision also the 5 fold ministry was never done away with that includes apostles, your not rebuilding the foundation but it has to be reestablished by the apostles. Paul was a witness to the gentiles, whereas the 12 were witnesses primarily to the house of Judah, so I don't think Matthias was the wrong choice. But anyway, agree with the main point in this video; Yeshua was the capstone, so if you have placed a capstone on your building then the time for building foundations has passed. If the Church needed rebuilding, then Yeshua would have needed to come back to authenticate and complete the new structure.
