"Esta Dushi" sounds cheerful, but the story behind it is less enjoyable. Pedro
Pablo Medardo de Marchena has composed this song in captivity in the camp on Bonaire in the World War years of 1940-1945. Here he sang about his desire to jump over the fence of the camp and get acquainted with the beautiful woman he regularly saw the other side.

Thanks to the Puertorican singer Daniel Santos it has been made famous as "Bula Waya". With his edited version he had the "Campo Alegre" (a prostitution complex on Curacao) in the periscope. The original version of "Esta Dushi" will now be heard.
