Lol its their natural instinct to dig away when they reach a dead end. Its how they would dig out their burrows in the wild.

OMG..! They're so cute ! :O Mines don't even go into their igloo thingy >.> They just cuddle somewhere in the middle of their tank and sleep. LOl..! They really love each other too.. O__O I took the male out when the female was pregnant and having her babies at the time and after I put him back much later on, they were so excited to see each other again.. LOl ! Now they spend most of their times together ALLWAAYS ! I can't even tell which is male and female no more ! Dx

They may just be kissing , meaning they like each other and thats also how they play sometimes.
But if hes stealing food, then thats not normal.
