  • yeh it just keeps the wheels on the ground. the axle is a 13T under slug, so she is very jumpy with no trailer.

  • Excellent video,you've made my day! I used to drive Atki 8 wheel tipper in London in late 1980s!  It had "real mans gearbox" too! Wonderful sound!

  • @firglenchainsaws thanks, 8 wheeled tippers are the best looking atki's i think. fuller boxes are fantastic, but are a swine if you miss one, wich i do from time to time.

  • I took my HGV1 test in a 1969 Atki during the hot summer of 1976. I was out first thing in the morning when all the kids were going to school and the examiner took me down narrow roads with cyclists everywhere. Happy days!

  • @thelanyman i drove them 5 yrs in north yks when i was 21 33yr ago when the old log books were in use
