In this film John discusses how he lives with Alzheimer's Disease. John spent his life as an entertainer, and is now involved with his local community.

This film is part of Alzheimer's Society's Remember the person campaign, which asks people to think about the individuals living with dementia and not just the diagnosis. Alzheimer's Society is asking people to think about the people they know living with dementia and about the simple things they can do to make life for them more manageable and enjoyable.

Dementia Awareness Week 2010 took place in England and Wales between 4 - 10 July 2010 and in Northern Ireland from 13 - 19 June 2010.

There are more than 750,000 people in the UK affected by dementia with numbers set to rise to 1 million by 2021.

Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading care and research charity for people with dementia and those who care for them.
