@templar19 I saw Zeal as more of mans progression toward betterment only to be ruined by the fact that man is flawed and can only get so far before some base instinct takes hold and ruins it all.
To me, Zeal wasn't about defying Gods, it was about mankind's inability to deny the 7 deadly sins, mainly pride.

Zeal makes me think of Plato's parable of Atlantis: a kingdom that tried to defy the gods and amalgamate more power than ever before...only to be destroyed. I used to read the story as a warning against such action, and it probably was intended that way...but now I'm not so sure. Maybe the story is more about having the courage to defy your limits no matter what the consequences.
