The thing is, he DIDN'T start a fire with his cell phone, he faked it, because he's a fraud. I'd rather have seen him use the firesteel, which is not as easy as you might think. Defend this dork all you like, then go watch Ray Mears and see how it's really done.

It's so obvious this didn't actually work for him. The lithium reacts, then fizzles out he says "NOW THAT"S GOING!" (no it isn't you fraud) aaaand CUT! New scene...OH look, the fire is now blazing! They cut out the part where the production team comes in with a lighter. ALSO, if you have a fire steel dude, why not try it out before destroying your phone???
