What a beautiful opossum! And so sweet. I have a friend who does opossum rescue in Florida, and she said they just don't live very long. :( She had one who was very dear to her and even might have saved her a couple of times (she is diabetic and was asleep when the opossum started licking her face to wake her up. She was asleep, and going hypoglycemic--completely unaware of her condition).

One of the more beautiful possum I've ever seen, gorgeous white face. Very clean and docile animals. And a sleeping machine, I thought cats were lazy, they can't hold a candle to a possum.

To illymozar: Yes we were great buddies, both nocturnal. I miss him a lot. On an average they live around 2 years.

I had nothing to compare to, so for me this was a most beautiful possum on the planet. Makes a difference how people film it or take photos, or who are the people who do that. Shmooky passed away in September. I do not have enough photos, but if you want me to share few with you I will. He was a loyal pet, yes, slept a lot but when he was active he wanted to play all the time.
