2nd time trying to post this:( WW soldiers were heros, they fought against oppression and every year on Nov11 I wear a poppy. Bobby Sands fought too for a cause, he gave his life for a cause. He became a hero in his own community. I am sure you have men in your community that you consider heros, that I would consider thugs. You are not a Cath so you can only see the situation from ur side, which if that is what happened to your family I can sort of understand.

Your opinion of Bobby is your own, I think it is clouded by hate but it is yours, you will not change mine. As for your family getting put out, that TOO is awful and should never have happened. But again, is you pain any worse than those Catholics. I can empathize for your family, why can't you empathize for others? I wasn't born then, but my parents, aunts, uncles etc, were.I have heard the stories, felt their pain, and seen the damage done. Two wrongs never make a right.

everyone who laid their lives down in the first and second world war died for what they believed in and to make our lives better. not some petty criminal who covered themselves in shit. and bobby sands was a lay about thug while living in rathcoole. As for bobby Sands, I would never give anyone credit for his protest.Whether or not you agree with his protest, is immaterial. He died for his convictions, so that others would have a better life. I don't know too many people who would stand behind their beliefs so much as to risk their own life. Do you... would you?

As for Bobby Sands, i will not give the KAI any credit for his protest. He was a brave man, who died for his beliefs and convictions. Whether or not you agree with them is of no consiquence, He was a brave man who "practiced what he preached". I don't know many others who would give their life so others could live better lives? Do you, and Would you??
