A big WOW. Kudos, Lea Salonga!

@neoclassicalmusic Westenra has serious articulation issues when she speaks and sings. She needs to take speech lessons from Salonga.

This is not an operatic song, but a religious one...written for a Broadway voice, not an operatic one, although an operatic voice can do it. Usually, Sarah Brightman does it, and that girl from Wales, C. Church. The whole 'Requeim' needs some operatic voices, but this song, does not. It is supposed to be done sweetly and gently, as the words profess. Was not badly done, but was not opera or Broadway....but somewhere in between.

Guys please. Lea did a beautiful job! Requiem is musical theater, not an opera, and it just has songs with an operatic style. Lea was NOT trying to sing opera, and she very well knows that she's not been trained for it. What she showed here is a more "classical" style of singing, that regardless of what you want to call it, is very pleasant and delightful to the ears. It just goes to show how versatile her voice is, regardless of her specialization and training. Kudos to you Lea!!! :)
