Backbeat is a 1994 film that chronicles the early days of The Beatles in Hamburg, Germany. The movie focuses primarily on the relationship between Stuart Sutcliffe and John Lennon, and also with Sutcliffe's German girlfriend Astrid Kirchherr.

@carlinj832000 I was talkin abt da actor Ian Hart , but fact is Lennon´s father was probably of Irish stock . Lennon is an Irish name , originally spelt ´Lenahan´.

Paul stated that 'One of my annoyances about the film Backbeat is that they've actually taken my rock 'n' rollness off me. They give John the song long tall sally to sing and he never sang it in his life' Also George Harrison reportedly only seen the first five minutes of the film at a screening before walking out.
