About the game:

Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D, known as Biohazard: The Mercenaries 3D in Japan, is a third-person shooter video game developed by Capcom for the Nintendo 3DS.

The game was announced at the 2010 Nintendo conference in Japan. A combination of the "Mercenaries" mini-games featured in Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5, players must defeat as many enemies as possible within a set time limit.

The game includes Wi-Fi connectivity for cooperative play from players around the world, as well as new modes and characters from across the series.

Playable characters include Chris Redfield, Albert Wesker, Hunk, Claire Redfield, Jack Krauser, Jill Valentine, Barry Burton and Rebecca Chambers, competing in maps from Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5.

The game features a playable demo of the upcoming survival horror game Resident Evil Revelations.

Gameplay:

The camera of the game is set behind the player, moving through real-time rendered 3D environments. Unlike most other games in the series, players will have the option of aiming from a first-person viewpoint, although the over-the-shoulder aiming from Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5 will also be available.

Another feature is the ability to move while firing and reloading weapons. Gameplay is shown on the top screen of the Nintendo 3DS, while inventory management is handled on the touch screen. Players will be able to customise their characters' abilities and weapons, gaining new abilities over time in addition to their own strengths and weaknesses.

The game will feature alternate costumes in the game for each character to unlock.

how do you make them talk when your in co-op mode?

@RoxyBelievex I think that they only speak to each other if they have been grabbed by an enemy, or if they are dying.

How come sometimes you went into first person when aiming and other times it was the awesome third person?

@TYZARRD you can switch between the two in the options. Personally I found the first person perspective the best, especailly with regards to the game's 3D

Is this game really worth buying i mean will the game last for a while or would it get boring after some time???

@Zafina4Ever1 It really depends. I finished missions 1-5 (and one act of mission six, the EX difficulty mode) in about 4 hours. However, that was just with one character. The replayability really depends on how much you like The Mercenaries. Personally I love it, and have put in over 50 hours before getting even remotely fed up of it.

this game is for people who do not own the ps2 or xbox 360 or the wii plus the gamecube or pc and only has a 3ds and loves resident evil so this is a messege for those who are ranting about this game
