Nahrain has really looked a terrific filly with a ton of talent!! She's certainly been the best filly, if not outright horse that Roger Varian has had yet since taking over the reigns from the late Michael Jarvis, IMO. She was a touch unlucky not to have won this year's BC F&M Turf, and I suppose the same might be said for Mist For Me, too. Give the wide PP draw, and stumble coming out of the gate where she nearly went all the way down. But fair play, you could say Announce was unlucky here, too

I watched this in longchamps, it was so close that the French stewards originally reported annouce as the winner.

@GBeret83 It'll be one of the better races for sure. Dubawi heights won prep so easily and was strong after the wire, ears still pricked so extra furlong should be no problem. Then Stacelita who won on class last out and looked like she hadn't even started running yet. Nahrain has some heart reaching for the wire though too. Going to be a great heat indeed.

Watching this race in real time, I thought for sure that Announce had just gotten up ahead of Nahrain on the wire to win this!! I was surprised when the photo came back showing that Nahrain had just held Announce off. A terrific effort by both fillies in the race, nonetheless!!

Gberet83, I agree with that assessment. Even in a substandard field I didn't think Nahrain had the form to win this. She hasn't run since July and must be a much improved filly.
