http://www.eavestrough.ca Heater cables come in two grades. Residential and commercial.

Residential cables can be purchased at Canadian Tire and are easy to install and come with directions. Make sure the directions are followed. The most important being that they are plugged into a GFCI plug that will trip off if somthing shorts and do not let the wires touch each other as they may overheat.

Commercial are much more expensive but are self regulating which means they will distribute heat through the cable as needed and will not overheat if two wires touch.
