The 405 was such an excellent car,especially in diesel guise....The 406 that followed was one of the best cars i ever drove,so much fluency..........Everything went to pots at Peugeot after that.

my dad owned a 405 gtx Executive Estate he loved it we went to france and back without looking under the bonnet he bought a Mercedes and put the 405 up for sale after a few days of driving the merc the merc went up for sale the 406 estate was like goldbust to get hold of and the 407 was disapointing.i hope that the 508 brings back peugeot moto ( the drive of you life )

My dad owns a 407 and i wouldn't say it's as awesome as it looks, it is kind of annoying. He never owned a 405, and my whole life i wondered if they are really good?

That was when Peugeot were good and made decent looking cars. The likes of the Peugeots of today such as the 308 are ugly and unreliable. I think the 406 and 306 were the last decent cars Peugeot made. A lot of the earlier Peugeots were designed by Penin Farina, so hence the quality styling.
