when some one's ambiton does not come to fulfilment, then one's complains of his/her sorrows, pains and pangs, in the form of the sad song, which appeal deeply to us, in such a way that for a while, we ponder over it very seriously, and our heart becomes full of sadness.these are the lyrics of the human lives, and the poet reflects it,before us, in the form of the poems.I congrate to Imirzaji and express the vote of thanks, for uploading a such a fine and heart touching song.
mirza ji mirza jee mirza jee i never thought i will listen this song but oh god i have so masny memories with this song . mirza je all my life i am in music even todak .i listened rag kedar from different artists and now i am after lata jee .thankyou mirza jee
The story was written by I.S Jauhar and B.R Chopra planned to make the movie in Lahore. However, due to partition they abandoned the plan and moved to Bombay. Finally the movie was made and released in 1954. The song is sung by Lata Mangeshkar and not by Asha Bhosle. Three poets wrote its songs: Majrooh Sultanpuri, Shailendra and Raja Mahdi Ali Khan.
Kamal Amrohi never informed his first family of his marriage to MK until about 2 years after the fact. When this movie was released, his children got to see what their choti ami looked like. They were so awed by her beauty there was a dread that their abbajahan was going to abandon them and we all know that on the contrary she embraced them with much affection.

Earthmusic credits the song to Lata Mangeshkar. But the voice and singing style makes me think this song was sung by Asha Bhosle.

Lata Mangeshkar on Meena Kumari in Chandni Chowk (1954). Roshan's music on Majrooh Sultanpuri's lyrics.
