Media Texts - Fact & Opinion

So when you answer you say why its an opinion and why its a fact and say facts are used to support facts

@jonnywilson95 When you identify a fact from the text, say how you KNOW it is fact (based on evidence, dates given, cannot be disputed, writer has no reason to lie, etc.). Same with identifying an opinion of the writer, say WHY it's an opinion (cannot be verified, not based on evidence, it's what someone thinks or believes, contains an element of doubt). Fact: this video is on YouTube (cannot be disputed). Opinion: this video is useful (this is what I think, but not everyone may agree!!)

I understood the example answer at the end of the video. however, often, instead of the question saying "quote one fact and one opinion", the question might say "explain how the writer uses facts and opinions". how does this differ

@TheJordan12345678901 A good point and you're right. If the question is worded in this way then you should quickly present two or three examples of fact and opinion. You should still identify to which is which.
