mice vid helped me out alot

That's correct. If I use the same volume, I have to rinse different areas at different times. By increasing the volume as I progress through the sections, All the sections will finish processing at the same time.

It's so he will come out with an even, consistent color, rather than the back being lighter than the top. The way developer works is, 20v will lift the hair two level, 30v will lift three, and 40v will lift four (under most circumstances). If he increases the developer volume as he works, the color will be the same throughout, even though the hair has been processing for different amounts of time. Hope that helped! :)

Why change the volume for the different areas? Is that because of her current hair color or regrowth from her last color job?
really enjoyed your video. Would u clarify how u do your sections? I see sides, one on top of head and 2 back? Thanks

@bmihoch That's correct. I start laying angled foils parallel to the hairline behind the ears and as I travel over the occipital area, the foils pivot until they are parallel to the floor, along the occipital ridge. The sides do the same, parallel to the hairline on the sides of the face and pivot until they are level with the parietal ridge. Then one row parallel to the front hairline, and travel back to the apex.
