It was election night 2008 at Spelman College, and I had the opportunity and the means to capture every moment, every giggle, every scream and arrange it in a short film. Senator Barack Obama was running against Senator John McCain for the presidency of the United States, and we anticipated having to stay up all night until a winner wasfinally declared.
I was fortunate that my very good friend, Chanel Tartt-Minor, hosted the film and captured the varied perspectives and interviews that are featured.
Fortunately, the election results were available right after midnight, and history was made. Barack Obama came the first African American elected President of the United States. What an exciting time to be alive!
