  • Hey, Mike, do you think that I could use both systems at the same time? Like, could I set up two SB800s on my TT5s, set up my T5D-R with the PX receiver, and mount my SB900 on my TT1 and put the PX transmitter on top of the flash? Then use the PW system to control the manual output of the nikon flashes while using the RP system to fire the Q-flash in TTL mode? What do you think?

  • Im 57 seconds in and nothing has been said. Come on...

  • No mention made of the optional AC3 controller.

No mention of hypersync. This guy talks a lot, but know very little.

  • This YouTube Video Distance demo with PocketWizard Mini and Flex shows

very different (and favourable) results ........with a different camera.

Maybe you have a faulty PW system ?

  • @matthias79 - Mike has personally worked with the RP staff. I don't know that he does it for pay. I think RP found a great photographer who would help them develop a fine product. Mike found a company that listened to photographers. As he stated, and is obvious, he is showing results. The evidence is pretty clear. If you shoot outside, and need some range, I think this test speaks for itself. Mike also invites you to test them for yourself. What did you see in his test that showed any bias?

  • Super helpful. Thank you so much!

  • I have Pocket Wizards and am a little frustrated. I can setup in my studio and test having everything work, then going on location only to have them totally fail. I hope to be able to try out the RadioPopper. Thanks for the review.

  • Thanks guys now I know after watching all 8 videos what the testing was for. Can I use the RP on my camera without having to buy another flash? Do they have one that just mounts on the hot shoe?

    Thanks again!

  • I do like RP over pocket wizards but wouldn't you say this is would be a bias review since you work for RP?

  • The MiniTT1 and FlexTT5 trigger the flash at up to 1/8000 seconds. Is the RadioPopper capable of high speed sync, and what is the general maximum (I allow that it varies somewhat from a camera/flash to camera/flash)?
