  • @paulidis001 my last clients, were a small refurbishing warehouse.

They used barcodes to track their inventory.

By using RFID labels, they can track their inventory in real time.

Installing the sensors on each shelf though was a huge hassle.

It just returns a static string, which, in this case, is a hash.

Right now, I just use it to unlock xscreensaver.

So, when I'm near my computer, the screensaver stops.

I also had a script that does a similar thing, but with bluetooth on my phone.

  • @AnonymousElektron What is the point of implanting an RFID chip? You said your clients have saved money with it, but what does it do exactly? Or what are some good uses for it? I guess basically what I'm asking is what is it (e.g., a memory chip, or processor, mini-computer, etc.), and what are the uses (although that may be obvious if I understood what it was)? Seems silly for Xy1on to be arguing with you over some piece of technology in your skin--hell, I'd get one if it had benefits.

  • Cool dude. I want one. Hey Christians, you fools! Stop believing in myths and live in modern times. There is no "god". Ever hear of evolution?

  • @Xy1on I know it isn't a job interview, but you're 24 years old, you should endeavor to communicate clearly all the time, and more importantly, take pride in what you write, it is a reflection of you.

What does it say about you as a person; that you're too lazy to communicate clearly...

But yes, anyway, no, RFID technology is awesome, many of my clients have saved so much money with it, and it's fun to play with, I don't get where all of this hate and fear comes from.

  • @Xy1on dude, please do not lecture me about RFID technology, I contribute code to kernel modules that control low-level interfaces for RFID readers and writers, I'm an engineer I develop with this stuff.

You're like telling an auto mechanic to be afraid of cars.

I am not afraid of it.

I take my trust Symbol RFID scanner onto the subway with me and scan passerbys, I am the one in control, I don't fear it.

  • @AnonymousElektron i like how you Changed the subject moron i dont care how my grammar is on the internet its not a fucken job interview .. wake up and open ur eyes cause ur sleeping

  • @Xy1on I didn't say you were seven years old, I said your posting had seven spelling errors, because I use a browser plugin that masks comments that have more than three spelling errors, so it was annoying, I had to click on your comment to unhide it.

  • @AnonymousElektron I'm 7 okay that must meen im fucken way smarter then you for realizing the deception.. are u to stupid .. to see what JFK said and how he died? are u to stupid to see michael jackson murderd? are u to stupid to see years advances the government dumbs down the youths? are you really ignorant to not see the lies obama told us ... Sometimes spreading the truth is hard .. cause people be dismissive Were not crazy .. the enviorment is really sick You guys are crazy

  • @AnonymousElektron Your another brain washed ignorant person. You believe the media? the lies on the news? You believe terroist are the enemy? you believe they did 9/11 ... you believe obama is changing the world but he aint even doing shit? you believe a chip will help your life? Does that sound necessary, really .. a chip implanted in ur body .. and yet you don't no the capability of it .. maybe they tell you .. but is it really hard to not say everything? ur living in a deception ..

  • @Xy1on ugh, 7 spelling errors, I really hope you're a little kid using daddy's computer, I sincerely hope that you're not an adult typing like that.

You need to go back to school.

    I can barely understand you.

Also, learn to use ellipses correctly, your writing is peppered with them it looks ridiculous.
