  • it looks to me like he does gravity blasts with his left hand

  • No gravity/freehand blasts in this video.

  • I can never figure out when he blast with his left and that he uses his finger or if its all wrist.

    Any one know?

  • Mostly wrists, maybe a little bit of fingers. But Derek himself says he blasts using his arm..how I have noidea though haha.

  • Someone with the 'slipknot' and 'sk8ter' in their name does not need to tell us about who a "REAL" drummer is.

    And he definitely doesn't need to preach to fans of Derek Roddy about listening to other drummers and other genres of music. Since fans of Roddy are usually some of the most openminded drummers there are.

  • @CriticalBeat666 It's sextuplet at like 165 bpm, so it's about 250/260 bpm 16th notes speed.
