In your races.txt there's a line at every race that says: Nastiness level: 0-10. 10 is the nastiest, though I've randomly put 70000 in it.

I´m not even sure if it is the spawnpoints that make it crash, but it´d make sense.

For me, on my PC, the limit seems to be 29, after that it crashes, on any map.

Some maps seem to lack the space for spawnpoints, or do not have enough spawnpoints to take care of the huge amount of opponents. It's something to look in too. Airpain 3 doesn't take more than 25 for me neither. I'm not going to find out for you though :P
