As much as I like Georgie's R&B stuff, if I had to choose one favourite song, this would be it. So different from his usual output, and if all those radio stations would stop playing Yeh Yeh, Get Away and Bonnie & Clyde, and start playing this instead, the world would be a much nicer place. Issued in the UK in 1969 on CBS. Groovy man.

  • Steve Wright on Radio 2 plays it quite a bit.

  • You should hear Georgie's duet with Mary from The Supremes on the current Rhythm Kings tour of the UK. They do Stormy Weather with the only instrumentation being Georgie's organ-playing - the blend is absolute MAGIC! The roar from the spellbound, sell-out audience at New Brighton at the end of the song was deafening.

  • Never Heard of this Guy. Got here Listening to Kenny Rankin.

  • I can remember willing this to get to 1000 views. Look at it now!!! teriffic song! Wonder if Georgie ever looks on here? Next goal - 25,000.

  • I love Georgie Fame's music and like many on here, this is my favourite by the great man. It only reached no.16 in 1969, when it should have gone all the way to no.1. Beautiful song.
