Mayor Summey offers full support to North Charleston HS principal

North Charleston Mayor R. Keith Summey was joined by fellow community leaders on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 1:30 pm in the Mayor's Office to welcome and offer full support to Principal Robert Grimm as the new principal of the North Charleston High School.

Mayor Summey stated, "Despite the positive ground work and progress made by Principal Juanita Middleton, North Charleston High School is still at a very critical stage with a looming threat of a state takeover." He continued, "This is a huge responsibility for any principal, and without the full backing of the North Charleston community, we could very well be setting up Mr. Grimm for failure. As community leaders, it is our responsibility to the students of North Charleston High School to provide an environment for success. I am confident that Mr. Grimm possesses the necessary qualifications and experiences to be the true change-agent that the school so desperately desires."
