Novation 25SL Compact IPOD Touch TOUCHOSC MOD

A quick video demonstrating a MOD i did to my Novation midi controller and my ipod touch.

TouchOSC is awesome little software, just like having a Lemur, only infinitely cheaper.. and the mod is completely reversible ..

Its extended the functionality of an already very useful keyboard. No keyboards were harmed in the making of this video

Hey man, trying to attempt this mod myself. I'm just really nervous about removing the keys..I've tried prizing them off/just pulling them off but I don't want to force them or break them. how do they come off? ...got the same as you...remote sl but 49 key version. Thanks!

@JoshStroma You have pulled the back off right? you need to disassemble to the keyboard first.. and you will then see at the back of the keys, there are little springs about 2 cm in length.. you need to take them off, and then the key will just fall out.

but you need to unscrew the back first..

would this MOD work for the Novation 37SL?

@junglezmassiveBOH All i did was remove 3 keys, so I am assuming it would work the same on the 37SL.. each key just has a spring attached at the back, simply remove the spring and the key should just pop straight out.

yep. you can have mutlipled midi inputs..  not sure about traktor, but i guess so.

Nice, If I were to hook my ipod via touchosc, and i have a midi controller (akai mpk25) hooked up to my laptop, could i use this both to control traktor as if they were dj controllers like a numark or hercules. would i be able to do headphone cueing without an audio interface ? let me know. thx!

nerfkid22, its already been said, but yep, its a program called TouchOSC made by Rob at Hexler. May i suggest you get your facts straight before you embarrass yourself in public again. Stop being a hater and try making something yourself.. you muppet.
