An invitation to everyday people to participate in ending poverty...to fund the revolution.

ChristmasFuture is about empowering everyday people to participate in eradicating extreme poverty by buying just one gift differently during the Christmas season. They refocus that cash towards a project in the poorest communities in the world. All projects are part of an integrated plan to get that community out of poverty in a lasting way. 100% of these donations go to the projects on the ground. We cover our overheads seperately - and transparently.

We are about empowering everyday people, so now YOU can help build the organization by throwing $20, $50, or $100 in the pot to cover our overhead cost - essentially hiring people to do good stuff.

  • could not find your charity on "CHARITY NAVIGATOR" site..are you for real or is this just a scam???????

  • Nope...not a scam. We're a charity registered in Canada and currently registering in the US.

  • There seems to be many misunderstandings about what ChristmasFuture supports - check our site:

    - Integrated community development (not just food, or water, or cash, etc)

    - Empowering people to solve their own problems, their plan, their way - with help as they request

    - Work in communities that agree to lead the process, and in countries that agree to support the development initiatives

    - Poverty is complex: there is not just one cause as many of you suggest. A good summary can be found in Jeff Sach's book - The End of Poverty. It's not perfect, but it's a good start

    - Extreme poverty (living on under $1 / day) is vastly different in it's causes and treatments that the relative poverty some suffer in North America. There is no extreme poverty in North America

    - It's seems trite to say 'survival of the fittest' when you happen to have been born in the right womb

  • "Poverty" Is a problem with each Government and the governmnet is responsible for the country they run and govern. It is NOT the resonsibility of the developed nations. Those countries that are poverished have resources they could be selling on the world market to end poverty.

  • yes, but we can make improve the situation, at the very least. a little difference makes alot of difference to the individual.

  • I really respect what you're doing. This is a very worthy cause, although, many people are taking advantage of poverty and scamming good people out of their attempt to provide poverty inflicted countries with hope. If we only knew how serious this problem is. Continue what you believe in, and society will eventually come to notice how essential supporting these causes are. I wish you luck. :)

  • What about our poor.l Charity begins at home.

  • Great that you do this, the unfortunate reality about Africa is that your school/liberty will be the first burnt to the ground the next time the villagers get upset about what the "west" has done to them. Teach them to take responsibility for their own lives and stop giving them stuff.

  • Bravo! Let's all be the change we want to see! - Christopher Gruener

  • You and your vision rock. Right On!

  • Great Initiative and idea!

Really if more people we're going to do this, poverty would be erased.

Thank you for being who you are!

You are a most wondefull person,

  • How do we do it? I don't know, but begin by addressing all the issues on this page. We seem to get bogged down with, for example, things like capitalism/communism-- two ideas that don't work-- as if we don't have the imagination to figure out something that does work.

  • I like the concept, however, I am dubious over results. I believe that right now we have the resources-- mental, material and financial to effectively end poverty in 100 years. I think that getting there-- wanting to do it, and the dedication to persist across generations represents the biggest challenge to civilization in all of human history.
